Ciao Marina is the Barcelonan duo formed by the German cousins Alex Egido and Javier Media. Playing and composing together since they were children — they formed their first band at the age of 12 — they decided to record their first professional album in 2017, under the name Ciao Marina. 

The group bases its musical philosophy on the phrase "hunting silence in the middle of the noise". This phrase refers to the fact that the music industry is currently flooded with large super-produces, and they are just looking to move away from this: a natural and acoustic sound, focused on the melody and a worked lyric.
